- + What can I put in the general rubbish bin?
-
We accept almost all household rubbish including food scraps, packaging, nappies etc.
- + Are there items I can't put in?
-
You can't put in rocks, soil, concrete, construction waste or hazardous goods – if you are unsure, just ask us.
- + What about garden waste?
-
We do provide a Green Waste Service and encourage you to use this, however you are able to dispose of your green waste in the general bin, just mind the weight.
- + What can I put in the green waste bin?
-
Organic garden green waste material i.e. clippings, pruning’s, weeds etc. If it naturally grows in your garden and not processed or exposed to chemicals we’ll take it.
- + Why is weight a problem?
-
Tip fees are charged by weight (not volume), therefore material with a lot of moisture in it (e.g. grass clippings) can cost up to double what normal household rubbish would cost.
- + What are the weight limits for each bin?
-
Half size (120 litre) wheelie bin 20kg's
Full size (240 litre) wheelie bin 40kg's
It is rare to exceed these limits, but if it happened we would discuss all the options with you. - + How do I pay?
-
1. By Automatic Payment - always one collection in advance.
2. In advance - 6 or 12 months (Direct Credit or Credit Card). - + Do I need to put the wheelie bin out at the kerb?

No – this is a regular collection service based on a minimum service period of six months.
- + Is there a deposit?
-
No - No deposit or sign-up fee.
